Suntory Roku Gin

The first gin from Japan's legendary Suntory - Roku Gin. This expression is made using a selection of botanicals, including six Japanese botanicals provide a whistle-stop tour of the four seasons. These include sakura leaf and sakura flower for spring, sencha tea and gyokuro tea for summer, sansho pepper for autumn and yuzu peel for winter. Traditional gin botanicals also featured include the likes of juniper, orange peel, lemon peel, coriander and cinnamon, among others.

Imperiale is in fact the name of our beloved estate bull. The 6 botanicals (Juniper, elderberry flower, turmeric, chamomile, rosemary, bergamot) used in gin Imperiale are from local wild plants and it is these that give the gin the most authentic aroma and flavours of the terroir.

Haymans Old Tom Gin

It's the revival of an oldie from the Victorian era: the Old Tom Gin. During the 19th century, this sweet gin variety used to be all the rage, only to seemingly vanish off the face of the earth. A few years ago, manufacturers such as the London-based brand Hayman's rediscovered the value of Old Tom Gin and re-established the drink in their assortments. Hayman's Old Tom Gin definitely lives up to its name as it tastes wonderfully floral, fruity and pleasantly sweet. This is achieved through the use of selected ingredients like citrus fruits, berries and herbs. Its nose is rather tart and spicy with notes of coriander, ginger and juniper berries, which is a nice contrast to the classic Old Tom Gin character on the palate. At the International Spirits Competition 2011 in Germany, Hayman's Old Tom Gin was unsurprisingly able to bag a gold medal.

If you like citrus-based gin, you will quickly fall in love with Flor de Sevilla. In the late 1960s, Charles Tanqueray visited orange groves near Seville, Spain. That's when he got the idea to make gin with the sweet taste of Seville oranges. Aroma and taste : juniper, juicy oranges with sweet tones of vanilla and spices of many kinds.

His ingenious pursuit of excellence paid off and created Tanqueray London Dry Gin , a perfectly balanced gin and one of the most prized gins in the world. A one-litre bottle of Tanqueray London dry gin , which is bottled at 47.3% ABV. Big bottle, big ABV, big tastes. Aroma: aromatic. Cedar wood, juniper oil, a little citrus peel. Taste: a lot of juniper with spicy tones of orange and lemon peels and only with a hint of anise. Conclusion: long, very full and rough with junipers.

The inventor and Master Distiller of Hendrick's gin is Lesley Gracie . A partly alchemical genius, partly a liquid poet and partly a scientist. Lesley is one of the greatest gin innovators in the world. Aroma: juniper with floral hints and a touch of musk rose. This is followed by sweet orange, lime peel and base. Taste: very classic gin with the taste of angelica, coriander and juniper. Conclusion: long with a pleasant juniper, a hint of liquorice and black pepper.
